Principal Architect - Snowflake

Location: US - Remote

Estimated annual pay range: $195,000–$250,000, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Lead qualification, technical discovery, target architecture design, effort estimation, risk sizing, proposals, and Statements of Work for Snowflake pursuits.
• Build technical relationships with customer architects, data leaders, and other stakeholders.
• Provide architectural oversight throughout delivery, ensuring solutions align with the original scope and addressing risks early.
• Define Snowflake-focused service offerings, success criteria, measurable outcomes, frameworks, and delivery standards.
• Collaborate with Snowflake field teams, specialist architects, and vendor technical stakeholders on joint customer engagements.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Snowflake platform architecture, enterprise migration and consolidation, and data engineering.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience from a Snowflake partner organization, Snowflake itself, or management of a significant internal Snowflake environment.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale migrations, particularly from SAP, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, appliance platforms, or other cloud data warehouses.
• Principal Architect-level technical leadership and experience acting as the senior technical authority in customer engagements.
• Presales experience, or delivery leadership experience covering customer discussions, scope definition, approach design, proposals, and Statements of Work.
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation, pipeline orchestration, testing, data quality, semantic layers, enterprise data models, governance, and consumption-cost optimization.

Nice to have

• Snowflake certification.
• Experience extracting data from tightly licensed ERP environments and understanding semantic layers, extraction challenges, and commercial licensing considerations.
