Lead Linux System Administrator

hirify.global is a game development studio creating and publishing games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms, including Shadow Fight Arena, Shadow Fight 3, Shadow Fight 2, 11×11, and Vector.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a distributed team of 3–4 system administrators and one L1 support engineer.
• Set priorities, plan work, mentor team members, conduct one-to-one meetings and performance reviews, and support hiring and onboarding.
• Maintain reliable production and internal infrastructure, including monitoring, logging, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Define infrastructure security practices covering access management, system hardening, and patching.
• Handle infrastructure incidents, escalations, internal support requests, migrations, capacity expansion, and infrastructure improvements.
• Operate and automate internal engineering services with Bash and Ansible while coordinating with project and DevOps teams.

Requirements

• Experience managing a system administration or infrastructure team, including performance management and work prioritization.
• Senior-level hands-on Linux administration skills, preferably with RHEL, CentOS, or AlmaLinux.
• Strong knowledge of networking and production troubleshooting.
• Strong Bash and Ansible skills.
• Production PostgreSQL administration experience.
• Experience operating and securing production infrastructure, including monitoring, backups, access management, patching, and incident response.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Tencent Cloud, OVH, or Hetzner.
• Experience with Proxmox VE, Proxmox Backup Server, Docker, or ZFS.
• Experience with ClickHouse, MySQL, Zabbix, Grafana, Graylog, Elasticsearch, Keycloak, OpenZiti, or Google Workspace.
• Experience with Akamai, TeamCity, GitLab, Perforce, Jira, Confluence, Java, Python, or PHP services.
