Windows and Virtualization Engineer

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; the Infrastructure Services team also operates in Varna, and the work model prioritizes in-person collaboration.

What you will do

• Administer and support enterprise Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows clustering services.
• Support VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Nutanix AHV and Prism platforms.
• Troubleshoot software-defined networking and load-balancing solutions, including VMware NSX, VMware Avi, and Nutanix Flow.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity while performing patching, upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and security remediation.
• Investigate complex incidents, participate in change management, maintain technical documentation, and support automation and infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Strong Microsoft Windows Server administration experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows clustering.
• Hands-on experience administering VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Nutanix AHV and Prism.
• Strong understanding of virtualization, server infrastructure, enterprise data centers, monitoring, and system health management.
• Experience resolving complex infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and performance issues, as well as working with incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Fluent English and strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with VMware NSX, software-defined networking, VMware Avi Load Balancer, Nutanix Flow, or other enterprise load-balancing technologies.
• PowerShell scripting, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and observability experience.
• Backup, recovery, disaster recovery, cloud, or hybrid cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
• ITIL Foundation or VMware, Nutanix, or Microsoft certifications.
