Senior/Principal Scientist (Mass Spectrometry)

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and execute high-resolution mass spectrometry methods for structure elucidation.
• Build a comprehensive analytical toolbox for complex active pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Characterize antibody-drug conjugates, targeted lipid nanoparticle constituents, cyclic peptides, oligonucleotides, mAbs, mRNA, and lipids.
• Identify process impurities and degradation products across R&D and commercial portfolios.
• Troubleshoot mass spectrometers and lead MS-based root-cause investigations.
• Initiate partnerships with universities and research institutions to expand analytical capabilities.

Requirements

• PhD in analytical chemistry or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a related master's degree with at least 10 years of experience.
• In-depth, hands-on expertise in high-resolution mass spectrometry and MS-based structure elucidation of complex synthetic modalities.
• Experience in pharmaceutical R&D is an asset.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary scientific teams and comply with environmental, health, regulatory, GMP, and safety requirements.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required for scientific discussions and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Mass spectrometry experience with lipid nanoparticles, cyclic peptides, oligonucleotides, or antibody-drug conjugates.
• Coding, programming, and in silico tools for structure elucidation.
• Advanced hyphenated separation technologies such as capillary electrophoresis or multidimensional liquid chromatography.
• Knowledge of ICH, EMA, FDA, GMP, and analytical validation requirements.
