Investment Operations Securities Specialist Senior

Location: In office at 555 South Flower Street, Los Angeles, California, US 90071

Starting base salary: $25.93–$41.43 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Act as a liaison with SEI Private Trust Company and internal departments for DDA sweeps, notes and liabilities, corporate actions, mutual fund trades, trust settlements, and asset transfers.
• Review and process corporate actions and reorganizations, including tender offers, mergers, acquisitions, conversions, redemptions, stock splits, stock dividends, and litigation-related events.
• Resolve mutual fund transaction discrepancies, coordinate securities settlements, and work with brokers to resolve failed trades.
• Process trade-related wires, prepare trust accounting entries, and reconcile investment transaction and account information.
• Maintain securities transfer documentation, prepare transmittal letters for physical assets, and manage the non-officer portion of the dual-custody vault program.
• Provide consultative support, verify client eligibility and record accuracy, manage operational risk, and provide backup for related functions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of banking operations experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with banking procedures, practices, and regulations.
• At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Thorough understanding of procedures, practices, and regulations governing trust-securities operations.
• Ability to interpret investment-related documents, communicate effectively in difficult situations, manage high work volume, and maintain accuracy across multiple tasks.
• Ability to report to the designated City National office in Los Angeles is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with securities, preferably trust securities.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
