Senior Manager (Upstream), MSAT

What you will do

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of upstream MSAT scientists and engineers.
• Define upstream process and engineering strategies for process transfer, manufacturing operations, validation, and control.
• Lead technical projects, author complex technical and regulatory documents, and ensure delivery within budget and quality standards.
• Provide scientific manufacturing support, including troubleshooting, after-hours on-call coverage, complex investigations, assessments, and CAPA activities.
• Drive continued process verification, yield optimization, process robustness, and implementation of new technologies and materials.
• Serve as the primary site contact for assigned products and align with global technical teams.

Requirements

• Degree or higher in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive industry experience with mammalian biopharmaceutical processes, including process engineering, technology transfer, process validation, and manufacturing support.
• Strong understanding of upstream processes and parameter interactions.
• Hands-on experience in pilot-scale or large-scale manufacturing environments involving cell culture and/or purification.
• Solid knowledge of cGMP requirements and current regulatory expectations.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capabilities.
