Process Lead Engineer (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Lead or support process definition and design for life sciences manufacturing facilities from early planning through construction support.
• Define process flows, unit operations, equipment requirements, capacity needs, and space requirements for regulated manufacturing operations.
• Develop process narratives, block flow diagrams, equipment layouts, and engineering criteria.
• Collaborate with clients, process architects, utilities, mechanical, electrical, automation, architectural, and construction teams.
• Support proposals, technical narratives, client workshops, capacity planning, and operational strategy.
• Review process-related design deliverables and help resolve multidisciplinary design challenges while supporting GMP/GxP compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of life sciences manufacturing process engineering experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or advanced therapy environments.
• Experience with at least one major modality, including monoclonal antibodies, fill-finish, ATMPs, cell and gene therapies, mRNA, vaccines, APIs, or oral solid dosage.
• Strong understanding of regulated manufacturing processes, unit operations, equipment, facility design inputs, and equipment layouts.
• Familiarity with GMP/GxP environments and regulatory expectations.
• Strong client-facing communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills; PE licensure is preferred but not required.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple life sciences modalities or production technologies.
• Experience in design-build or fast-track project delivery environments.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
