Senior Scientist - Experimental Protein Design for Target Discovery (Protein Engineering)

What you will do

• Translate computational protein designs into experimentally testable minibinders and antibodies across multiple targets.
• Lead high-throughput workflows for binder expression, purification, characterization, and cellular assay development.
• Partner with molecular biology teams to establish construct-generation and binder-library production workflows.
• Develop multispecific formats for de novo binders to test biological hypotheses.
• Analyze experimental data and guide iterative design-build-test cycles.

Requirements

• PhD in biochemistry, protein engineering, bioengineering, structural biology, or a related field, plus relevant postdoctoral experience; equivalent master's or bachelor's pathways with protein engineering experience are also listed.
• Experience expressing, purifying, and characterizing engineered proteins such as antibodies, minibinders, or designed scaffolds.
• Experience validating binder hits using flow cytometry and SPR.
• Experience developing cellular assays for functional characterization and understanding protein structure-function relationships.
• Ability to collaborate with computational protein design teams and cross-functional discovery groups.

Nice to have

• Experience with cell-free, E. coli, or mammalian expression systems.
• Experience with automation platforms and high-throughput experimentation.
• Experience supporting phenotypic screening, receptor biology, or early target characterization.
