IT Audit Associate - College Program (Cybersecurity)

Location: Alexandria, Virginia, with on-site work in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area and client sites as client needs arise. Travel of at least 25% may be required.

Salary: $60,000–$78,000 per year, plus eligible bonuses and paid overtime for additional hours worked.

What you will do

• Support internal and external financial audits and assessments of financial system controls.
• Test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and evaluate supporting documentation.
• Perform risk assessments, develop IT sampling plans, and assess compliance with policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Contribute to A-123 internal controls audit readiness, FISMA security work, and financial statement audit engagements.
• Draft audit findings, project deliverables, and other client-facing documentation.
• Collaborate with audit teams and clients while balancing multiple engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems or another IT-related field, or a double major/concentration in Accounting and an IT-related field.
• Willingness to work on-site in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area and at client sites.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an interim U.S. Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to travel at least 25%.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams and communicate with clients.

Nice to have

• CISA certification, CPA candidacy, or eligibility to sit for the CPA examination.
