Head of Medical UKIECH (Vaccines)

Location: Reading, United Kingdom; responsibility covers the UK, Ireland, and Switzerland.

What you will do

• Define and execute the medical strategy for vaccines across the UK, Ireland, and Switzerland.
• Lead, develop, and build succession depth for Medical teams across three countries.
• Set medical plans, resource allocation, goals, and KPIs linked to business and patient outcomes.
• Build scientific partnerships with public health authorities, academic institutions, and medical societies.
• Lead regulatory strategy, health-authority engagement, label updates, indication expansions, and post-approval commitments.
• Drive real-world evidence, post-marketing surveillance, vaccine effectiveness research, compliance, pharmacovigilance, and patient safety.

Requirements

• Medical Degree, PhD, or PharmD; an MD is highly preferred.
• Senior leadership experience in vaccines or infectious diseases, including translating global strategies into country-level execution.
• Experience with product launches, access ecosystems, immunization programmes, and NHS immunization frameworks.
• Experience engaging with national health authorities such as JCVI, UKHSA, NHS England, MHRA, HSE, HPRA, Swissmedic, or equivalent organizations.
• Expertise in evidence generation, pharmacovigilance, patient safety, and medical ethics.
• Ability to lead teams across multiple countries and cultures, with working knowledge of digital tools and AI applications.
