Senior Seasoning Developer (Food)

Location: Carrollton, Texas, USA; on-site 5 days per week

What you will do

• Lead the development and application of seasoning solutions for culinary, snack, and other food product categories.
• Execute customer projects from concept through commercialization while meeting customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
• Develop consumer-preferred seasoning systems using formulation expertise, culinary insights, innovation, and market trends.
• Provide technical leadership for category initiatives, platform development, and technology implementation projects.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Regulatory, Purchasing, customers, and global technical teams.
• Investigate formulation, raw material, prototype, and scale-up challenges; lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior scientists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in seasoning formulation, product development, and troubleshooting within the food industry.
• Demonstrated experience developing and applying seasoning systems for commercial food products.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, solve technical problems, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication, analytical, relationship-building, and customer collaboration skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% as business needs require.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Food Science or a related scientific field.
• Experience supporting global customer projects and multinational product development initiatives.
• Strong project leadership experience in commercialization and technology implementation.
• Experience with protein and meat-related products, including glazes, rubs, and marinades.
