Principal Manager, Communications & Developer Influence

Location: HQ in San Francisco, United States

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 gross annual base salary in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island.

What you will do

• Develop and execute corporate communications strategies supporting brand reputation, product launches, and company growth.
• Build relationships with technology, business, AI, cloud, and developer media while managing inbound press opportunities.
• Create executive thought leadership, speaking, media interview, and social visibility programs.
• Lead communications for corporate milestones, partnerships, customer stories, research, and industry trends.
• Build influencer and creator programs for engineers, open-source maintainers, technical YouTubers, newsletter writers, and developer communities.
• Manage integrated campaigns, social media channels, PR agencies, performance measurement, and cross-functional messaging.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or integrated communications within B2B technology.
• Experience with high-growth SaaS, cloud infrastructure, AI, developer tools, or enterprise software companies.
• Proven success securing earned media coverage and building relationships with business and technology journalists.
• Experience developing executive thought leadership programs and advising senior leaders.
• Strong writing, editing, storytelling, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience managing PR agencies and partnering with developer advocacy or DevRel teams.

• Understanding of newsletters, podcasts, influencers, and technical creator communities.
