Public Investments Quantitative Analyst Intern (Machine Learning)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States; full-time onsite internship from June 2027 to August 2027

Compensation: $16.50–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Build and maintain data models with data engineers using dbt SQL, including data cleaning, integration, and quality testing.
• Develop Tableau dashboards and Streamlit applications for investment professionals.
• Design, optimize, research, and deploy machine learning and AI models in Snowflake.
• Apply portfolio optimization, Monte Carlo simulation, risk measurement, and backtesting to investment processes.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Credit Analysts on data delivery, models, and investment analysis.

Requirements

• Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Quantitative Finance, Computer or Data Science, Finance, or Mathematics.
• Strong development skills in SQL, Python, Streamlit, dbt, or similar technologies.
• Excellent data manipulation and data visualization skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability, effective written and oral communication, self-motivation, and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using Bloomberg and BlackRock Aladdin.
