Creative Technology Director

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; remote candidates considered if willing to travel to Pittsburgh as required.

Salary: $145,000–$190,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own technical context, architecture, feasibility decisions, and creative technology solutions for large-scale integrated projects and exhibits.
• Make technical decisions, determine when to involve vendors or specialized resources, and lead software development, testing, and implementation.
• Research solutions and build prototypes for high-risk or ambiguous components.
• Coordinate timelines, schedules, budgets, resources, progress, and deliverables with production teams, integration specialists, project managers, and producers.
• Lead and mentor developers, delegate project components, and contribute to hiring and team structure.
• Guide creative concept development and represent hirify.global through internal and external thought leadership.

Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Expert-level software development skills in fullstack web development or TouchDesigner, with general knowledge of the other.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering, fabrication and procurement, architecture and construction, AV, and third-party hardware and software integration.
• Experience leading small development teams and delegating software development, testing, and implementation work.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and client-facing communication skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant experience and creative capabilities.
