Technical Support Engineer II (Systems Analyst)

Location: Remote, must reside in South Africa

Salary: R300,000–R350,000 per year, plus eligibility for a quarterly bonus of up to 4% based on departmental KPIs and metrics.

What you will do

• Resolve escalated support requests, complex technical issues, and break/fix incidents across multiple client environments.
• Install applications, configure user-level settings, and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, networking, server, and cloud-related problems.
• Configure and support Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments, including Hyper-V hosts, server administration, networking, and security tasks.
• Troubleshoot and deploy SonicWall firewalls, networking switches, and access points.
• Support Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, Datto BCDR, SaaS Backup, and other technologies used in client environments.
• Mentor Level I technicians, collaborate with the technical team, escalate tickets, and maintain accurate technical documentation in Autotask and the documentation platform.

Requirements

• Must reside in South Africa.
• CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certification required, or certification must be obtained within six months of employment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, and Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• Working knowledge of SonicWall firewalls, Datto Networking, core networking concepts, on-premise SharePoint administration, Microsoft 365, cloud services, and Intune.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, strong time management and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment.

Nice to have

• MD-102 certification.
• Managed Service Provider experience.
• Experience with Azure or AWS, Datto BCDR, SaaS Backup, Datto Networking, and VoIP telephony including Microsoft Teams.
