Adjunct Faculty in Physics

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; face-to-face daytime lecture and laboratory instruction required.

Salary: $3,000 per 3-hour lecture course; $2,000 per 3-hour laboratory course.

What you will do

• Teach introductory College Physics courses using an algebra-based curriculum.
• Teach University Physics courses using a calculus-based curriculum.
• Lead face-to-face lectures and laboratory courses during daytime hours.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for instruction and learning in laboratory settings.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support students from varied backgrounds and educational settings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physics or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in a related area.
• Ability to multitask, work cooperatively, and work independently with strong self-discipline.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Ability to teach in person in San Antonio during daytime hours.

Nice to have

• College-level teaching experience.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and settings.
• Ph.D. in Physics or a related field.
