Associate Analytics Team Leader

Location: Hybrid in Almaty, Kazakhstan

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the analytics team, including supporting the performance and growth of team members.
• Define the analytics strategy, roadmap, standards, and governance for the Intercity vertical.
• Oversee key metrics, experiments, forecasts, and analytical outputs to ensure quality and business impact.
• Analyze pricing, demand-supply balance, unit economics, promotional initiatives, and new market entry opportunities.
• Partner with product, engineering, operations, marketing, and business leaders to drive data-informed decisions.
• Improve analytics processes, documentation, data quality, integrity, and cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data science.
• 2+ years of people management experience, including leading teams of 5+ people.
• Strong mathematical background in mathematical statistics, optimization theory, time series, and causal inference.
• Proficiency in Python, data analysis libraries, and SQL, including complex query optimization and analytical data marts.
• Experience creating BI reports with Plotly, Redash, or Tableau.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
