Art Director Intern (Advertising)

Location: Knoxville, TN, United States

Salary: $18 per hour; paid 8.5-week internship from September 23, 2026, to November 20, 2026, with a maximum of 25 hours per week.

What you will do

• Contribute to the conceptual and visual development of advertising projects.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, and Designers to execute design direction.
• Create and edit digital assets for internal presentations and client deliverables.
• Research trends and assist with moodboards, sketches, and presentation decks.
• Support additional creative responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Relevant work or life experience, or current enrollment as a senior in a bachelor's program or recent graduation in Media, Marketing, Advertising, Portfolio School, or a similar field; a degree is not required.
• Strong written, verbal, visual communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• An engaging portfolio demonstrating strong design skills.
• Proficiency in Mac OS X, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Ability to work in a flexible, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
