AI Art Director (Generative AI)

Location: Remote-first; candidates located in Canada or the United States

Base salary: Canada $129,882–$178,588 USD; USA $121,412–$166,942 CAD

What you will do

• Set and continually raise the creative quality standard for AI-generated advertising.
• Develop concepts, prototypes, reference work, and visual approaches using generative image and video technologies.
• Design, test, and refine workflows involving prompting, model selection, reference techniques, and quality optimization.
• Create reusable creative principles, evaluation standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Evaluate emerging AI models and tools and collaborate with Creative Strategy, Production, Product, Engineering, and Data Science.
• Coach Creative Studio members through knowledge sharing, documentation, and hands-on collaboration.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience in creative direction, art direction, filmmaking, cinematography, advertising, or a related discipline, supported by a strong portfolio.
• Deep expertise in visual storytelling, composition, lighting, camera movement, pacing, editing, and narrative structure.
• Hands-on experience producing high-quality creative with generative AI image and video technologies.
• Experience developing AI-assisted creative workflows and strong prompt engineering skills.
• Strong systems thinking and the ability to turn creative experimentation into repeatable practices.
• Comfort working autonomously and collaborating across creative and technical teams in a rapidly changing environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with node-based workflow environments such as ComfyUI, Weavy, or similar systems.
