AI Acceleration Engineer

Location: In-office in San Francisco or New York City, United States

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own internal automation projects end to end, from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Build and maintain internal web applications, business-system integrations, and tools for Finance and other business functions.
• Automate billing, revenue recognition, usage-data ingestion, collections, close activities, and reconciliation across internal systems, the ERP, and Salesforce.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, People, and Recruiting to identify automation opportunities and choose custom, vendor-based, or hybrid solutions.
• Build MCP servers, skills, agents, and other AI-facing tooling that enable teams and power users to automate their work.
• Measure and communicate business impact, including time saved, cost reduced, and errors eliminated.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience building internal tools, business systems, or revenue and finance operations automations.
• Experience owning projects across the full lifecycle, from requirements through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Ability to build production-quality internal tools and solve business problems rather than focus on product engineering.
• Strong generalist capabilities, sound systems-design judgment, and the ability to work independently through ambiguity.
• Hands-on experience with AI-native coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, and experience shipping production solutions.
• Coding experience in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript, plus API integration and deployment experience.

Nice to have

• Experience leading AI acceleration or transformation initiatives.
• Product mindset focused on adoption and usability.
• Hands-on GCP experience with Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, or Pub/Sub.
• Experience building custom MCP servers, billing or revenue systems, or completing an ERP implementation.
