Associate Director, Market Access & Patient Services Analytics (Pharma Analytics)

What you will do

• Lead advanced analytics projects across Market Access and Patient Services to identify access barriers, payer dynamics, channel impacts, and opportunities to improve patient outcomes and program performance.
• Advise senior stakeholders by framing ambiguous business questions, developing analytical approaches, and delivering executive-ready recommendations.
• Build and validate predictive and statistical models for patient drop-off, time-to-therapy bottlenecks, payer policy impacts, demand shifts, and access trends.
• Design operational experiments and patient journey analyses covering affordability programs, hub operations, prior authorization, specialty pharmacy performance, and pull-through.
• Engineer data crosswalks, payer standardization, customer mappings, self-service dashboards, and scalable reporting assets.
• Partner with Market Access, Patient Services, Trade & Distribution, Forecasting, Finance, HEOR, Medical Affairs, IT, and brand-aligned analytics teams.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of related professional experience, or 8 years with an advanced degree; an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred.
• At least 5 years of hands-on advanced analytics experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including patient services, hub, and/or specialty pharmacy data.
• Experience applying machine learning, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and experimental design to strategic or operational decisions and product launches.
• Strong expertise in specialty pharmacy, hub, formulary, coverage, claims, prior authorization, appeals, payer mix, and patient affordability data.
• SQL proficiency is required; Python or R, distributed data tooling such as Spark, and automated data crosswalk experience are preferred.
• Experience with real-world datasets and dashboard development using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with indication expansion, rare disease data, HEOR, real-world evidence, or gross-to-net analytics.
• Familiarity with Courier Health, Claritas Rx, or similar patient-oriented CRM and field-force platforms.
• Experience with pharmacy and medical benefits, payer spine maintenance, and customer mapping.
