Senior DevSecOps Engineer – Cloud & Automation (AI4DevOps)

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work model. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain internal Platform-as-a-Service solutions that enable developer self-service and reduce manual work.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and GitOps workflows across engineering teams.
• Lead containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift, including automated security and compliance gates.
• Prototype automation capabilities such as service mesh, policy-as-code, and advanced observability solutions.
• Design AI agents for infrastructure provisioning, incident remediation, and security hardening, with governance covering permissions, sandboxing, and audit trails.
• Measure and improve developer experience and DORA metrics, including deployment frequency and mean time to recovery.

Requirements

• 6–9 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• At least 3 years leading technology innovation or automation prototypes in complex environments.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of SAST/DAST, container security, Vault, OPA, and Kyverno.
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks, LLM tooling, prompt engineering, and agent governance protocols.
• Fluent English is mandatory, and an existing legal right to work in the EU is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience in regulated financial institutions and standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, or SOX.
• Portuguese language skills, open-source contributions, or active participation in the technology community.
