Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; fieldwork and travel to remote locations required

What you will do
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and deliver successful project outcomes.
- Manage client relationships and maintain strong stakeholder partnerships.
- Provide strategic technical advice to clients, regulators, and government agencies.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and commercial performance while maintaining technical quality.
- Prepare technical reports, environmental impact assessments, monitoring reports, and client proposals.
- Mentor, supervise, and develop junior staff while interpreting ecological and water quality datasets.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in aquatic ecology.
- Tertiary qualifications in aquatic ecology, ecology, environmental science, marine science, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in aquatic ecology, freshwater ecosystems, hydrology, water quality, and aquatic biodiversity.
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth, Queensland State, and local environmental legislation, policies, and guidelines.
- Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to undertake fieldwork, including travel to remote locations.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, GIS platforms, and statistical analysis tools.
Nice to have
- Professional accreditation such as AUSRIVAS or electrofishing certification.
- Coxswain licence, or the ability to obtain one.
