Senior AI Engineer

Location: Plaza Carso offices, Ciudad de México, Mexico; remote may be considered. Eastern Time Zone working hours are required, and the final interview stage takes place onsite in the United States.

What you will do

• Identify, design, integrate, and productionize Generative AI solutions, agents, and traditional software applications.
• Partner with users and stakeholders to define use cases, gather requirements, establish success criteria, and deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Lead high-impact AI and software initiatives across Manufacturing, Legal, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Sales.
• Serve as product owner by maintaining roadmaps, prioritizing backlogs, incorporating user feedback, and planning releases.
• Lead software delivery from design through deployment while coordinating cybersecurity, infrastructure, data engineering, and Office 365 reviews.
• Mentor junior developers, address technical debt, and manage the full lifecycle of deployed applications, including debugging, upgrades, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years of advanced backend development experience with Python and JavaScript.
• 2+ years designing, coding, and deploying complex GenAI and multi-agent GenAI systems in production.
• At least 2 years of UI and frontend development with React, TypeScript, and HTML.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI architectures, embeddings, advanced RAG, hybrid search, agentic search, vector search, and full-text search.
• Excellent English communication skills and a valid US visa are required; the final interview stage is onsite in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with PyTorch, model performance optimization, and task-specific empirical evaluation.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for AI and software systems in Azure environments.
• Azure Kubernetes experience and experience integrating machine learning models into custom applications.
• Experience designing and applying knowledge graphs to GenAI solutions.
• Active interest in AI and machine learning advances, including a GitHub portfolio.
