Technical Lead — Artificial Intelligence & Analytics (AIA)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States, or remote within the United States. Travel up to 5%.

hirify.global’s Data Science & Data Engineering Leadership department develops machine learning models, data pipelines, and analytics products.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and coach 5–10 data scientists and data engineers while tracking milestones and deliverable quality.
• Manage stakeholder expectations by communicating progress, risks, and technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Drive the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, including feature engineering, architecture, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Guide model selection, hyperparameter tuning, evaluation metrics, and predictive analytics solutions for project management data.
• Architect scalable data pipelines and lakehouse platforms using Databricks, Apache Airflow, Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Establish standards for ETL/ELT, code quality, version control, CI/CD, security, documentation, agile ceremonies, hiring, and onboarding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Seven or more years of experience in data engineering and/or data science, including at least three years in a technical leadership role overseeing cross-functional data teams.
• Expert knowledge of Python, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing, with advanced T-SQL, Spark/PySpark, data modeling, and medallion architecture skills.
• Advanced experience with ML model architecture, training, validation, deployment, feature engineering, supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, NLP, and time-series forecasting.
• Advanced experience with Databricks, Apache Airflow, Microsoft Fabric, Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, OneLake, semantic models, and Azure services; Microsoft Fabric Data Factory is required.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Git, CI/CD pipelines, RESTful APIs, Power BI, agile/scrum, row-level and object-level security, and performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Cloud cost optimization, cross-tenant data sharing, and Microsoft Fabric semantic model sharing.
• Observability and platform monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of project management and financial concepts, including budgets, revenue, profit, and earned value.
• Microsoft Azure, Python, SQL, or Databricks certifications.
