TL;DR
Data Engineer (Databricks) (Databricks/PySpark/SQL): Design and develop robust data pipelines for shipment, sell-out, and market share data across Central Europe with an accent on scalable data solutions, data quality, and business-aligned architecture. Focus on assembling complex datasets, orchestrating Databricks workflows, reducing technical debt, and providing L3 operational support for data processes.
Location: Warsaw, Poland. Hybrid work model with the option to work from home two days per week and regular office engagement.

What you will do
- Design and develop Databricks data solutions using PySpark notebooks and SQL.
- Build and optimize pipelines processing shipment, sell-out, and market share data across Central Europe.
- Assemble large, complex datasets that meet functional and non-functional requirements for 12+ digital products serving 700 users.
- Collaborate with data asset managers, architects, development leads, and front-end teams to deliver reliable data products.
- Contribute to scalable coding standards, architectural improvements, infrastructure modernization, and technical debt reduction.
- Deliver work within a Scrum team and provide L3 support by analyzing bugs and incidents in existing data processes.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in PySpark for data processing, transformation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, including cluster management, notebook development, and job scheduling.
- Advanced SQL skills for complex data manipulation, querying, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data integration patterns, and data lake architecture.
- Agreement to a full-time employment contract under the Polish “Umowa o Pracę” arrangement.

- Experience with Databricks Workflows and data pipeline orchestration.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
