Location: Washington, D.C.; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $179,820–$336,960 annually, with potential additional bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end response and coordination for high-severity enterprise and operational incidents.
  • Direct triage, escalation, stakeholder alignment, mitigation tracking, and resolution management.
  • Investigate active incidents with technical teams by analyzing system behavior, logs, dependencies, timelines, and recovery actions.
  • Coordinate Engineering, Site Reliability, Security, Infrastructure, Product, Support, Legal, Compliance, Communications, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Prepare executive, board-level, and government incident reports, status updates, risk summaries, and decision memos.
  • Facilitate postmortems and improve incident playbooks, tooling, metrics, observability, and response maturity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Significant technology-industry experience in production operations, enterprise platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or large-scale service environments.
  • Hands-on experience leading or coordinating major incidents and investigating high-stakes technical events.
  • Ability to communicate technical developments, business impact, and remediation plans clearly to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong judgment, composure, decision-making, cross-functional influence, and operational follow-through.
  • Ability to work fully in person in Washington, D.C., up to five days per week.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of modern infrastructure, distributed systems, cloud environments, identity systems, networking, and security response.
  • Experience in regulated or highly scrutinized operating environments.
  • Experience with crisis management, business continuity, executive response frameworks, or incident-management governance.
  • Track record of improving incident-management processes, operating models, and executive briefing mechanisms.
