TL;DR
Senior Security Analyst (Cybersecurity): Leading security monitoring, incident investigation, detection content production, and response improvements for Swiss Re with an accent on threat analysis, malware and exploit investigation, forensic acquisition, and operational security standards. Focus on developing hypothesis-driven threat hunts, containing major breaches, mentoring cybersecurity analysts, and strengthening detection and response capabilities.
Location: Zurich, Switzerland; hybrid setup with office presence required 2–3 days per week
Base salary: CHF 128,000–192,000 per year for a full-time role, plus potential performance-based rewards and benefits.

What you will do
- Oversee security operations, monitor alerts, detect incidents in real time, and coordinate responses.
- Investigate security incidents, contain breaches, and implement remediation strategies.
- Develop and maintain operational standards, security policies, procedures, and controls.
- Analyse threat intelligence and current cybersecurity trends, including malware, exploit activity, network events, and lateral movement.
- Mentor cybersecurity analysts, provide technical guidance, support professional development, and act as deputy to the Head of Monitoring Security.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent security matters outside regular working hours.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of cybersecurity experience as a Security Analyst or Incident Responder, preferably in a SOC or CSIRT environment.
- Strong knowledge of the threat landscape, offensive tooling, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK techniques, and the Cyber Kill Chain.
- Experience with malware and exploit analysis or reverse engineering.
- Experience with threat hunting, logfile correlation, system and memory analysis, forensic acquisition, chain of custody, and major incident response.
- Excellent written and spoken English, analytical and problem-solving skills, stakeholder management experience, and demonstrated leadership ability.
- Ability to work in the Zurich hybrid setup with office attendance 2–3 days per week.
Nice to have
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Development experience with Python, Kusto, or another scripting language.
- Cloud security experience with Azure or Amazon AWS.
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO, or CIS controls and experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, or DLP solutions.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CEH, CISM, CCSP, or CISSP.
