Senior Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland; hybrid setup with a 50:50 split between home and office, requiring office presence 2–3 days per week.

Base salary: CHF 128,000–192,000 annually for a full-time role, plus potential performance-based rewards and benefits.

What you will do

• Oversee security operations, monitor alerts, detect incidents in real time, and coordinate responses.
• Investigate security incidents, contain breaches, and implement remediation strategies.
• Develop detection content, conduct hypothesis-driven threat hunts, and analyse network, malware, Microsoft, and Linux security events.
• Implement security policies, procedures, controls, and operational standards while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Mentor cybersecurity analysts, provide technical guidance, support professional development, and act as deputy to the Head of Monitoring.
• Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent security matters outside regular working hours.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of cybersecurity experience as a Security Analyst or Incident Responder, preferably in a SOC or CSIRT environment.
• In-depth knowledge of the threat landscape, offensive tooling, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK techniques, and the Cyber Kill Chain.
• Experience with malware and exploit analysis or reverse engineering.
• Experience with logfile correlation, system and memory analysis, chain of custody, forensic acquisition, and major incident or breach investigations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, stakeholder-management, and leadership skills.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills and willingness to work in the Zurich hybrid setup.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Development experience with Python, Kusto, or another scripting language.
• Cloud security experience with Azure or Amazon AWS.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO, or CIS controls and experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, or DLP solutions.
• Certifications such as CEH, CISM, CCSP, or CISSP.
