TL;DR
Cyber Security Analyst (SIEM/Incident Response): Monitoring and analyzing security alerts, investigating incidents, and supporting containment and remediation activities with an accent on threat analysis, alert triage, and structured incident documentation. Focus on classifying security events, analyzing logs and indicators of compromise, escalating confirmed threats, and coordinating response with IT and infrastructure teams.
Location: Remote in Italy
Salary: Minimum gross annual salary of €31,000

What you will do
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events to identify potential threats and anomalies.
- Perform initial alert triage, classification, severity assessment, and business impact evaluation.
- Investigate security incidents using defined playbooks and document relevant technical information.
- Escalate complex or confirmed incidents and collaborate with Cyber Security Engineers, Rapid Response, IT, and infrastructure teams.
- Coordinate containment and remediation activities with on-site IT support and infrastructure teams.
- Maintain incident documentation and contribute to improvements in security operations and handovers.
Requirements
- Initial experience in IT, IT security, or a SOC environment, with an interest in cyber security, threat analysis, and incident response.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a comparable field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Basic understanding of common cyber attack techniques, threats, and indicators of compromise.
- Familiarity with enterprise networks, operating systems, cloud environments, SIEM, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Ability to analyze logs and security events; basic KQL, SQL, or PowerShell skills are advantageous.
- Fluent English is required.
