Compliance Officer - Compliance Assurance (80-100%)

What you will do

• Lead, design, and execute compliance monitoring programmes and reviews.
• Identify and analyze compliance risks across the organization.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls mitigating compliance risks.
• Track the timely resolution of identified compliance issues.
• Prepare monitoring reports and compliance findings for senior management and internal or external reporting.
• Support investigations, ad hoc risk reviews, special projects, and collaboration with business and governance functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit within the financial services industry.
• Understanding of compliance principles, monitoring or audit methodologies, and risk and control frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Sound judgment, professional skepticism, and the ability to challenge stakeholders constructively while maintaining independence and objectivity.

Nice to have

• Experience in the reinsurance or insurance industry and exposure to global compliance, risk, or assurance teams.
• Knowledge of conduct risks or financial crime risks.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, or Stargate, and interest in AI-enabled compliance monitoring tools.
• Project coordination experience or additional language skills.
