TL;DR
Associate Director, PV Operations, PV Center of Excellence (Pharmacovigilance): Supporting and evolving Moderna’s pharmacovigilance quality management system across commercial programs, affiliate operations, regulatory intelligence, business continuity, and inspection readiness with an accent on compliance, standardization, and patient safety. Focus on implementing digital and AI-enabled pharmacovigilance solutions, managing regulatory impacts, strengthening global PV controls, and leading cross-functional risk and process improvements.

Location: Princeton, New Jersey, United States; 70% in-office work model

Salary: $142,500–$256,500 per year, plus potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity award

What you will do

  • Support and evolve the pharmacovigilance quality management system across commercial programs, affiliate operations, and global geographies.
  • Develop governance frameworks, KPIs, processes, systems, and compliance controls for commercial pharmacovigilance programs.
  • Lead business continuity planning, testing, regulatory intelligence, and implementation of global requirements into PV procedures and controls.
  • Lead digital and AI-enabled pharmacovigilance initiatives, including social media monitoring and adverse event identification capabilities.
  • Prepare for and support Health Authority inspections, including interviews, responses, and inspection management.
  • Identify system risks and improvement opportunities, lead procedure updates, and collaborate with cross-functional and regional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science or health-related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of pharmacovigilance experience, including commercial products or affiliate PV operations.
  • Strong knowledge of global PV regulations, regulatory intelligence, PV systems, procedures, controls, and compliance mechanisms.
  • Experience supporting Health Authority inspection preparation, interviews, response processes, and inspection management.
  • Strong communication, influencing, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Only U.S. persons—U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, or refugees—are eligible because of U.S. export control requirements; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

  • Experience with digital, automation, or AI-enabled pharmacovigilance capabilities, including social media monitoring and adverse event identification.
  • Experience with commercial PV programs, governance, compliance controls, and affiliate operations.
  • Master’s degree in a science or health-related field.
