Digital Engagement Strategist III (Social Media)

What you will do

• Align digital engagement activities with organizational goals to inform, educate, and inspire audiences.
• Create, manage, and distribute educational content across digital channels.
• Manage social media platforms including X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, and emerging platforms.
• Use analytics and reporting to measure performance, understand audience behavior, and refine digital strategies.
• Develop strategies to increase traffic to websites and digital properties while strengthening brand awareness in science and technology.
• Support digital communications for national and international events; some travel is required.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field, plus at least 10 years of experience as a communicator or writer.
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign Suite, content management systems, web management software, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and metadata management.
• Working-level knowledge of video streaming and extensive experience creating, managing, and leading social media and influencer campaigns.
• Excellent professional writing and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write for online applications.
• Experience representing organizations through print, broadcast, multimedia, exhibits, and face-to-face venues, and communicating scientific research and technology initiatives.
