TL;DR
Director, Software Engineering (GCP/Payments): Leading cross-functional engineering teams building, scaling, and evolving mission-critical payment products and cloud-native platform capabilities on GCP with an accent on distributed systems, GenAI-first engineering, reliability, and secure delivery. Focus on improving development and testing workflows, advancing CI/CD and progressive delivery, and solving complex production operations and compliance challenges.
Location: Bogota, Colombia; hybrid with at least 3 days in the office

What you will do
- Lead the product development organization for the Direct Alias platform on GCP.
- Build, scale, and evolve mission-critical payment products and cloud-native platform capabilities.
- Drive GenAI-first practices across software development, testing, troubleshooting, releases, and operations.
- Advance CI/CD, automation, observability, feature flags, progressive delivery, and safe production rollouts.
- Lead production reliability, release readiness, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Compliance, and Operations while developing a high-performing engineering organization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent experience and advanced-degree pathway specified in the posting; 13+ years of relevant experience is also accepted.
- Strong experience with GCP, cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with release discipline, test automation, environment governance, progressive delivery, and feature flags.
- Experience leading incident management, root cause analysis, service ownership, alert tuning, production readiness, and operational excellence.
- Advanced Spanish and English; based in Bogota, Colombia.
- Experience in payments, fintech, regulated environments, compliance, security, and controls for global payment platforms.
