Associate Medical Writer

Location: Cranbury, New Jersey, United States; hybrid schedule with regular in-office days required

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year, depending on qualifications; eligible for an annual bonus program or commission incentive based on the role.

What you will do

• Draft needs assessments, gap analyses, learning objectives, agendas, and content summaries for grant proposals.
• Research therapeutic areas to identify unmet needs and educational gaps.
• Conduct global literature reviews and verify the scientific and clinical accuracy of materials.
• Develop content elements for CME/CE initiatives, including slide presentations, manuscripts, and infographics.
• Apply AMA style, editorial standards, company SOPs, and ACPE and other regulatory guidelines.
• Support the Scientific Affairs and Business Development teams across multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in medical writing, editing, scientific communications, academic research writing, or a related role; internships are considered.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex scientific data into practical communications.
• Working knowledge of life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine and the ability to learn new therapeutic areas quickly.
• Ability to interpret complex clinical data and outcomes reports, identify learning trends, and understand instructional design elements.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage competing deadlines independently while receiving guidance from senior team members.
