MSCI Institute Senior Researcher (Finance)

Salary: $147,000–$191,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Set and own the Institute’s research agenda, including priority themes, research questions, methodology, execution, and delivery.
• Lead original, high-impact research and develop flagship publications, client briefings, and thought leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects with research, product, technology, marketing, and commercial teams.
• Organize roundtables, workshops, and dialogues with investors, academics, and policymakers.
• Engage directly with academics, policymakers, senior clients, and industry stakeholders.
• Represent hirify.global at client meetings, roundtables, and industry forums.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in finance, economics, engineering, applied mathematics, data science, or a related analytical or quantitative field.
• Strong grounding in finance and market theory, with substantive exposure to real-world markets and hirify.global clients.
• End-to-end experience owning research or methodology development, from problem formulation through external promotion.
• Typically 2+ years at hirify.global or equivalent experience combining hirify.global collaboration with external research or market-facing work.
• Proficiency in Python or R and working knowledge of AI and machine learning applied to financial markets.
• Strong analytical integrity, communication, presentation, storytelling, visualization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in hirify.global Index, Analytics, or Multi-Asset-Class research.
• Experience working with multiple hirify.global datasets, models, and solutions, including Indexes and Barra.
• Strong visualization and graphical skills.
