Head of Quality Assurance (QA)

Location: Hybrid in Hamburg, Germany or San Ġiljan, Malta

What you will do

• Lead the QA discipline across four live titles, including QA Leads, Specialists, and Automation Engineers.
• Coach QA Leads and build their capability, judgment, autonomy, and team leadership skills.
• Own QA staffing, coverage allocation, career frameworks, performance, and the quality bar across the franchise.
• Define the QA operating model, test strategies, coverage standards, and quality gates for Android, iOS, and web.
• Drive QA automation, quality metrics, and early visibility of product and player quality risks.
• Manage external testing partners and vendors while maintaining consistent quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading QA at scale across multiple teams, products, or game titles.
• Experience building and coaching QA Leads or managers while developing their autonomy.
• Ability to define test strategies, coverage standards, quality gates, and evidence-based QA practices.
• Strong knowledge of defect density, escape rate, test coverage, and other QA metrics.
• Experience driving QA automation strategically and understanding where manual testing remains essential.
• Fluent English, both verbal and written.

Nice to have

• Experience testing frontend, backend, game servers, mobile applications, and web products.
• Experience integrating AI into QA workflows, including automated test generation, AI-assisted triage, or evaluation.
• Experience maintaining quality standards across shared and independent codebases.
