Funds Ratings - Associate / Associate Director (Dublin)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid schedule with office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

What you will do

• Conduct credit research on funds, closed-end funds, and other investment vehicles.
• Develop rating and analytical tools, including cash flow and asset coverage models for fund debt structures.
• Prepare and present quantitative and qualitative credit memos and publications.
• Participate in diligence meetings with fund management teams to assess investment expertise, risk management, and strategy execution.
• Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases while collaborating with project finance, corporate finance, financial institutions, and structured finance experts.
• At Associate Director level, independently lead credit rating processes and research efforts for investment fund debt transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, or another subject providing strong analytical skills.
• Four to eight years of experience as a credit analyst; experience in fund lending, investing, or structured finance is valuable.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to build cash flow models.
• Strong oral and written communication, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines in a challenging and dynamic environment.
• SQL and VBA proficiency is advantageous; progress toward the CFA designation is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with fund investment and credit strategies.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and productivity.
