Manager - Managed Services - Accounting and Finance (Oil and Gas)

What you will do

• Oversee end-to-end accounting and reporting service delivery for multiple clients, ensuring accurate, timely outputs with minimal rework.
• Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for completeness, accuracy, and deadline compliance.
• Support engagement staffing, billing and collections, and achievement of client profitability targets.
• Translate client requirements into actionable instructions for offshore teams and manage current engagement workflows.
• Coach, train, and mentor staff while developing training materials and promoting teamwork.
• Apply upstream oil and gas accounting expertise across cost and property accounting, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and related controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive accounting experience; professional services or consulting experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, core accounting principles, financial classification, recording, and reporting.
• Proven upstream oil and gas accounting experience, including cost/property accounting, AP, JIB, cost allocation, AFE management, JV reporting, division orders, accruals, and operational reporting.
• Understanding of revenue distribution and recognition, production accounting, DOI management, owner relations, severance tax, regulatory reporting, FP&A, close processes, treasury, acquisition accounting, hedge and risk accounting, depletion and amortization, and ARO.
• Advanced MS Office and Excel proficiency, strong communication and organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across international teams.

Nice to have

• CA, CPA, MPA, or MBA.
• Familiarity with the COPAS framework and tools such as Wolfepak, Quorum, Enertia, or Bolo.
