Software Engineer (Senior, Staff) - Remote

What you will do

• Own consumer product features end to end, from initial idea through release.
• Work directly with the CEO and a small team to decide what to build and why.
• Turn ambiguous ideas into concrete products without waiting for every question to be answered.
• Evaluate and challenge PRDs, balancing product impact, user experience, and implementation cost.
• Collaborate closely with others to unblock work and avoid siloed execution.
• Use new tools, including AI coding assistants and agentic engineering approaches, to move faster.

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping consumer products used by real users.
• Track record of driving complex features from conception to delivery.
• Previous founding or early-stage startup experience.
• Strong coding ability, product fluency, design intuition, and taste.
• Ability to work from first principles, operate independently, and make decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Fluent English, including the ability to write and discuss product specifications clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience as a founding engineer or early-stage engineer who built products from zero.
• Experience shipping products without a fully defined specification.
• Experience delivering consumer products that made a significant difference for many users.
