Global Director – Vulnerability Management & Security Configuration (AI)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States

Salary: $164,600–$288,000 USD base pay, plus a discretionary bonus program that may include equity.

What you will do

• Define and execute the global strategy for vulnerability management and security configuration across on-premises infrastructure, cloud, endpoints, and platforms.
• Transform traditional vulnerability management into an AI-enabled, risk-based capability using contextual prioritization, automation-led remediation, and threat-informed decision-making.
• Operate and scale the global program across discovery, prioritization, remediation, governance, security configuration, and continuous compliance.
• Develop risk-based models using threat intelligence, exploitability, asset criticality, and external exposure.
• Define enterprise hardening baselines, continuous monitoring, drift detection, and policy and remediation standards.
• Lead a lean team of approximately four full-time employees and ten contractors while providing executive reporting on risk, exposure, and remediation performance.

Requirements

• 12+ years of cybersecurity experience with deep expertise in vulnerability management and security engineering.
• Demonstrated success building and scaling enterprise cybersecurity programs and leading large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience in infrastructure and cloud security, configuration management, hardening, and platform-focused DevSecOps integration.
• Hands-on, engineering-led leadership experience with the ability to operate at both executive and deep technical levels.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
