Staff Software Engineer (PLC)

Overview

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a key member of the engineering team, delivering new features and improvements in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will use modern computing frameworks to power key community functions and contribute to making the world a little better every day.

What you will do

• Provide leadership at a tactical level, contributing to strategy and team leadership, and solve unique problems.
• Architect, design, and develop robust APIs and microservices using Ruby on Rails and a modern EmberJS/React UI.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders to shape the system.
• Develop REST microservices that communicate with the event-driven platform for Data & Reporting services and integrate with customer systems.
• Participate in CICD and DevOps automation initiatives on industry-leading platforms & tools like AWS Cloud, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Continuously improve team collaboration, product quality, business value, and technical innovation.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional experience developing scalable code using modern computing languages in an Agile environment.
• 6+ years delivering software using an agile methodology (Scrum preferred).
• 6+ years of professional experience with modern Javascript frameworks (Angular, React, and Ember).
• 6+ years of professional experience with NodeJS or Java or C# or .Net based frameworks.
• Experience building a heavily utilized at scale consumer-facing enterprise SaaS software (AWS/GCP).
• Experience with cloud-native software development and delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Kafka, Redis.
