Salary: $231,600 – $318,500 USD (US Salary Range), plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and lead a high-performing AI Developer Tools team from the ground up, focusing on AI/LLM integration and developer experience.
• Deliver production-ready AI agents for developer productivity (e.g., automated PR reviews, code generation) and operational automation.
• Create and operate foundational infrastructure for a self-service AI Developer Tools platform, enabling rapid prototyping and deployment.
• Drive platform adoption and enhance developer experience, establishing it as the default for AI-powered tooling.
• Partner with product leadership to explore productization opportunities for successful internal AI tools.
• Ensure reliability, security, and performance of AI developer tools and the hosting platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years managing high-performing engineering teams, with demonstrated experience hiring, developing, and retaining diverse technical talent; experience building teams from scratch highly valued.
• 5+ years as a software developer with hands-on experience in developer tools, platform engineering systems, DevOps, or SRE infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, LLM integration patterns, and practical applications of AI in developer workflows; hands-on experience building AI-powered tools or agents preferred.
• Deep technical knowledge of modern cloud-native infrastructure including Kubernetes, GitOps deployment patterns, observability systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, Pulumi) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Product mindset with ability to envision how internal tools can become commercial offerings.
