Digital Storytelling Assistant (Marketing): Producing multimedia content that highlights student success, teaching practices, project-based learning, and school community culture with an accent on marketing communications, social media, and brand storytelling. Location: Kansas City, Missouri, USA. Full-time, Monday–Friday, in a school or office environment with frequent interruptions. Regular movement inside and outside the school or office, in-person regional meetings and training, and travel to the work location are required.

KIPP Kansas City Public Schools is a network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory charter schools serving approximately 1,000 students from Pre-K through 12th grade in educationally underserved communities.

What you will do

  • Produce engaging multimedia content highlighting student success, innovative teaching practices, project-based learning, and school community culture.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans supporting fundraising, enrollment, and other advancement initiatives.
  • Create and manage marketing materials across print, digital, social media, newsletter, press release, and website channels.
  • Develop annual communication plans and coordinate internal and external stakeholder communications.
  • Manage the website and social media channels, build online engagement, and maintain consistent brand messaging and visual standards.
  • Track campaign and platform metrics, conduct market and sentiment research, and refine messaging for greater reach and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing and communications leadership, public relations, corporate communications, and educational marketing.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing and developing marketing and communications teams.
  • Ability to work in Kansas City, Missouri, attend in-person regional meetings and training, and travel to the work location.
