Federal Tax Associate (Finance)

Location: Houston, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required, with reliable transportation arranged by the employee.

Salary: $70,400–$84,000 per year.

What you will do

• Work on teams covering a broad range of federal tax specialty areas.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Interpret tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Contribute to multiple client engagements and build strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Ability to travel to assigned client locations and arrange reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Entry-level candidates requiring current or future immigration sponsorship are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Progress toward successful completion of the CPA exam.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
