Mechanical Systems Assembly Technician

What you will do

• Assemble mechanical modules, components, and equipment using approved drawings, work instructions, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
• Set up equipment and support functional, mechanical, and acceptance testing.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and assembly fixtures safely and correctly.
• Verify completed work against quality requirements and report defects, discrepancies, or missing information.
• Complete production, inspection, and traceability records accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, quality teams, and other functions to resolve assembly issues and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Secondary technical education or vocational qualification in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial technology, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Experience or practical knowledge in mechanical assembly, machine building, equipment installation, or a comparable manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical assembly methods, tools, fasteners, and basic measurement techniques.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams, complete production records, and perform the physical activities associated with equipment assembly.
