Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design power, digital, analog, and RF wire harnesses that integrate electronic boxes into complete systems.
• Own harness designs from initial specifications through schematic development, cable routing, connector selection, and assembly drawings.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers and harness assembly technicians.
• Analyze and test harness designs for compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and performance requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to improve harness performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry or university research experience.
• Proficiency with harness design tools such as RapidHarness.
• Knowledge of wire routing, controlled impedance, cable shielding, EMC, IPC-WHMA-A-620, and ISO 9001.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and electronic loads, plus strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
