Head of Production Engineering Hermosillo (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Lead the Production Engineering organization and deliver strategic objectives, KPIs, and plant performance targets.
• Develop and implement engineering projects supporting new products, manufacturing processes, and technologies.
• Coordinate Plant Engineering, Production Engineering, production concepts, and engineering support for new product launches.
• Drive continuous improvement, process optimization, productivity gains, cost reduction, equipment optimization, and VAVE initiatives.
• Manage department budgets and resources while ensuring engineering standards, governance, and manufacturing best practices.
• Coach and develop the engineering team through succession planning, change management, performance development, and talent growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of Manufacturing or Production Engineering experience in the automotive industry.
• Proven experience in wiring harness manufacturing.
• 5–10 years of leadership experience managing Production, Plant, or Manufacturing Engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, VAVE, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Industrial Engineering methodologies.
• Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken.
