Senior Tax Analyst (Tax Compliance and Advisory): Supporting tax compliance, reporting, governance and advisory activities across a complex group spanning travel, tourism and membership services with an accent on tax effect accounting, income tax, GST, FBT and stakeholder advice. Focus on integrating new entities, enhancing tax controls and processes, and implementing automation to improve compliance quality and operational efficiency.
Location: Sydney, Australia; hybrid work across Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney CBD offices and working from home

What you will do
- Support tax compliance, reporting, governance and advisory activities across the Group.
- Partner with the Senior Tax Manager to provide practical, commercially focused tax advice.
- Prepare tax effect accounting calculations, disclosures, year-end tax journals, statutory reports and income tax returns.
- Support corporate income tax, GST, FBT and tax transparency reporting obligations.
- Assist with business integrations, external reviews, audits and requests from advisors, auditors and revenue authorities.
- Enhance tax controls, documentation, forecasting, planning, automation and operational efficiency while supporting the Tax Analyst.
Requirements
- Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification.
- 4–5+ years of tax experience in a chartered accounting firm or large corporate environment.
- Strong experience in tax effect accounting, income tax compliance and advisory, FBT, GST, BAS preparation and advisory.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to adapt to change.
