TL;DR
Senior Native iOS Engineer (Swift): Building production iOS apps and reusable XCFramework libraries for the Santander platform ecosystem with an accent on Swift 6, SwiftUI, modern concurrency, reactive programming, and accessible interfaces. Focus on designing modular MVVM architectures, integrating shared binary platform layers, distributing stable libraries, and maintaining CI/CD and automated quality gates.
Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with some days remote and some days onsite

What you will do
- Design and implement modular iOS feature and reusable library architectures using layered architecture and MVVM.
- Build production apps and binary-distributed XCFrameworks with Swift 6, SwiftUI, Combine, and structured concurrency.
- Develop accessible SwiftUI interfaces compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Integrate shared platform layers covering dependency injection, networking, analytics, routing, authorization, and anti-fraud.
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams on REST and streaming APIs, workflows, and user experiences.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, static analysis, quality gates, code reviews, documentation, and semantic versioning.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Swift 6, async/await, actors, Task, @MainActor, Combine, and SwiftUI.
- Experience designing reusable iOS libraries and frameworks with API/ABI stability and controlled deprecation.
- Experience integrating binary-distributed platform layers through dependency-injection contracts.
- Knowledge of iOS CI/CD and artifact distribution using Fastlane, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise; familiarity with SwiftLint and SonarQube.
- Understanding of Tuist, Maven, JFrog Artifactory, DocC, and token-based SwiftUI design systems.
- Professional English proficiency is mandatory, with a minimum B2 level; day-to-day communication and technical documentation are in English.
Nice to have
- Native-level Spanish.
- Experience with SSE or streaming conversational interfaces and incremental rendering.
- Experience with release governance, maintenance branches, Lottie animations, and performance tuning of dynamic lists.
