TL;DR
Compliance Specialist (Fintech): Driving product compliance for upcoming payment products and reviewing daily commercial contracts with an accent on multi-jurisdiction regulatory research, card scheme alignment, and pre-launch compliance sign-off. Focus on evaluating financial regulations across the UK, Hong Kong, and international markets, maintaining policies, and negotiating commercial agreements.

What you will do

  • Drive product compliance reviews for upcoming payment products and features.
  • Research financial regulations, card scheme rules, foreign exchange requirements, and B2B lending rules across target markets.
  • Conduct end-to-end compliance sign-off before product launches.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, and merchant onboarding terms.
  • Maintain internal compliance documentation, customer terms of service, and operational procedures.
  • Work with product, technology, and operations teams to support regulatory readiness and card scheme alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in compliance, regulatory, or legal operations within fintech, payments, acquiring, or B2B financial services.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory for reviewing regulatory guidelines, scheme rules, and contracts.
  • Pragmatic, commercially oriented approach and ability to work in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.

Nice to have

  • Fluent Mandarin or Cantonese.
